Born in 1942. Dipl. Mechanical engineer at Technical University of Heavy Industry in 1966. Worked at the Machine Factory of Diósgyőr, also head of department between 1966-1983. 1971 assistant lecturer, 1972 lecturer, 1982 associate professor, 1992 professor, 2012 Professor Emeritus. Deputy dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering between 1989-1991, head of Department of Production Engineering between 1992-2007. University Dr.techn. in 1973, PhD degree (C.Sc) in 1982, Academic Dr. of Technical Sciences (D.Sc) in 1991. Prof.h.c. and Dr.h.c. at University of Cluj Napoca and Kharkiv Polytechnic Institut. Main fields of research: worm gears, environment technologies, CAD, CAM, CAQ, CIM systems.
