Born in 1957. Graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1981 at Technical University of Heavy Industry in Miskolc. Between 1986 and 1996 he worked at University of Miskolc as an assistant professor, then senior lecturer. Between 1996 and 2004, he was the Head of Department at Zoltán Bay Research Institute. From 2004 he is a lecturer at University of Miskolc. In 2011 he earned a PhD degree and from 2012 he is associate professor. Between 2013 and 2017 he was a deputy dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics. From 2014 he is the director of the Institute of Manufacturing Science. His specialties include abrasive waterjet technologies, precision machining of non-ferrous metals.
