Born in 1942. Graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1966 and an automatization engineer of machine-tools in 1972 at the Technical University of Heavy Industry. He was an assistant lecturer from 1966, lecturer from 1974, associate professor from 1994 at Department of Production Engineering and honorary professor at Institute of Manufacturing Science from 2013. Gained Doctor Technical University (Dr.techn) degree in 1974 and Doctor of Philosophy in Technical Science degree in 1993. Received several university and national awards. Specializations: production engineering, abrasive machining (honing, superfinishing, lapping, grinding), ultraprecisional cutting, automatisation of technology.
