He was born in 1955. He graduated at the Technical University of Heavy Industry in 1979. Between 1979 and 1981 he was a scholarly trainee at the Department of Mechanics. From 1981 to 1990 he was research fellow at the Research Institute for Combustion Technology. Then he was assistant lecturer. In 1990 he defended his dr. univ dissertation and in 1996 he his PhD thesis with summa cum laude qualification. Since 1991 he was senior lecturer. Since 1997, he has been Associate Professor, and since 1997 Deputy Director of the Institute. He is a member of several organizations, scientific awards, holders of scholarships. Areas of expertise: environmentally friendly machining and diamond burnishing.
