Course objectives: |
The main objective of this subject is to introduce the basic knowledge of materials sciences for PhD students arriving with different background in materials and to give a general overview of materials and materials science related aspects of mechanical engineering. The theoretical principles of materials science approach are emphasized to provide students the knowledge on all kinds of materials with particular emphasis on advanced materials to meet increasing functional and technological requirements. |
