Course objectives:
Introduce students with various optimization methods and their application.
 
Course content and structure:
Introductory overview. Structural and system optimization options. Target functions, design criteria. Mathematical Methods of Single-Objective Optimization. 1. Task. Mathematical Methods for Optimal Sizing. Optimum design of simple structural elements. Computer algorithms: Backtrack, SUMT, Complex, Hillclimb. Sequential Quadratic Programming, Flexible Tolerance, Leap-Frog, Dynamic-Q. Genetic algorithm, differential evolution, particle group optimization, firefly, etc. Mathematical methods of multi-purpose optimization. Costs, cost reduction, economics. Production aspects in optimization. Optimization of simple structures and structural elements. Optimization of chemical and energy systems. Optimization of simple structures and structural elements. Containers, pressure equipment, reactors, etc. 1. Enter a task. Optimization of simple structures and structural elements. Exam.
 
Evaluation method:
Make the own research on a specific optimization. Give presentation. Write a test.
