Prof. Szabó ( born 1952) acquired his MSc degree in Applied Mechanics from the University of Miskolc in 1975. From 1975 he worked as research assistant, later as assistant lecturer. He defended his university doctor’s degree (Dr. univ.) in 1982 and became assistant professor; in 1996 the Candidate of Sciences (Ph.D) and associate professor; 2001 habilitation (Dr. habil.); 2003 full professor; Head of Department (1996-2016); Head of Institute (2013-14). He was awarded a Széchenyi Scholarship (1997-2003). He has been a leading member of several professional organisations and has been awarded various scientific and state awards. Fields of expertise: fluid and heat engineering.
