Robert Bosch Department of Mechatronics
The department was established in 2004 by the decree of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics, University of Miskolc. The first head of the department was Endre Jakab, PhD (2005-2009). Nowadays the Robert Bosch Department of Mechatronics is the part of the Institute of Machine Tools and Mechatronics. Our department has one associate professor, one assistant lecturer, one administrative officer and three PhD students. We have a practice oriented education since there are four modern laboratories, i.e., the Hydraulic and Pneumatic laboratory, the Sensor Technology laboratory, the Modular Mechatronics laboratory and the Robot- and Drive Technology laboratory. The department can be found on the third floor of the A/5 building.
Department of Machine Tools:
The Department of Machine Tools was established in the 1963/64 academic year. József Kordoss was the head of the department until his retirement. Nowadays the Department is the part of the Institute of Machine Tools and Mechatronics. There are several practice oriented laboratories:
