Dr. Balázs Tóth was born in 1982. He graduated as a mechanical engineer and received his MSc degree from the Department of Mechanics at the University of Miskolc in 2006. He has defended his PhD thesis in 2013 at the Institute of Applied Mechanics. His thesis was entitled 'Three-field dual-mixed variational formulation and hp finite element model for elastodynamic analysis of axisymmetric shells '. He is working now as an associate professor at the Institute of Applied Mechanics. The primary fields of his research interests and expertise are analytical dynamics, continuum mechanics, shell theories and models, variational methods in mechanics and hp-version finite elements and their mathematical aspects.
