He was born on 22nd April, 1954. Graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1977. He received his Dr. Techn. degree in 1986, Ph.D. degree in 1998 and his Dr.-habil. degree in 2006. He is a university professor since 2007, Head of the Department since 2002, Director of the Institute of Logistics since 2013. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics of the University of Miskolc 2009 - 2013. Member of Scientific Associations. Honorary professor of two foreign universities. Member of editorial boards of national and international scientific journals. Received several national and international awards for his educational and scientific activity. The most important awards are the ""Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic"" and the ""Eötvös József"" awards.
