He was born in 1973 in Miskolc. He received his physicist degree with honors from Kossuth Lajos University of Science in 1997. He completed his doctoral studies at the Dresden University of Technology, where he received his PhD degree magna cum laude in 2002. He first habilitated at the Debrecen Nuclear Research Institute in 2008 (with a 100% result), where he currently works as a senior research fellow. He received his second habilitation at the Institute of Physics of the University of Debrecen in 2015 (also with a 100% result), where he has been an associate professor since 2016. He has been an associate professor at the University of Miskolc since 2024. After studying at the Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg and the Technical University of Dresden, he was invited as a visiting researcher several times at the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg and the SISSA Institute in Trieste, where he worked with researchers János Polónyi, Ulrich D. Jentschura, and Andrea Trombettoni.
