4th Hungarian-Korean-Japanese Joint Seminar on
Design, Fabrication, and Maintenance of Welded Steel Structures, 2025

4-dik alkalommal kerül megrendezésre a Gépészmérnöki és Informatikai Kar Energetikai és Vegyipari Gépészeti Intézete, valamint az Oszakai Egyetem és a Chung-Ang Dél-Koreai Egyetem szervezésében a Hegesztett szerkezetek tervezése, gyártása és karbantartása workshop. Célja, hogy az adott tématerületen információt közvetítsen a világ minden tájáról kapcsolódó előadók és résztvevők között. A workshop témája szorosan kötődik a Nemzetközi Hegesztési Intézet XV-ös szakmai bizottsága munkájához, ahol Jármai Károly professzor az alelnök. A workhop online a Zoom felületen, ingyenes, bárki kapcsolódhat. Az előadások és a szakmai viták angol nyelven zajlanak.   For the 4th time, the Workshop on Design, Fabrication, and Maintenance of Welded Structures will be organised by the Institute of Energy and Chemical Machinery of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics in Miskolc, Osaka University, Japan, and Chung-Ang University, South Korea. Its aim is to transfer information on a given subject area between related speakers and participants from all over the world. The topic of the workshop is closely linked to the work of the XVth Professional Committee of the International Institute of Welding, where Professor Károly Jármai is the Vice-Chairman. The workshop is online on the Zoom interface, free of charge, and anyone can join. Presentations and technical discussions will be in English.

1. Purpose

This joint seminar is held to exchange knowledge of the design, fabrication, and maintenance of welded steel structures in mechanical, automotive, architecture, and civil engineering between Hungary, Korea, and Japan. Research activities in these countries are introduced to make strong relationships among them. The first seminar was held in September 2021, the second in March 2023 and the third in March 2024. This is the fourth seminar. Researchers and engineers in any other country interested in these topics can join the meeting. The logo marks at the top of this document are the universities/institutions/companies associated with the lectures for this seminar. Furthermore, this seminar has a role at the International Institute of Welding (www.iiwelding.org), commission XV (Design, Analysis, and Fabrication of Welded Structures) as an intermediate meeting of SC-A (Chair: Prof. Chang), SC-D (Chair: Prof Azuma) and SC-F (Chair: Prof. Jármai) in IIW C-XV.
