Dr Bencs (born 1983) acquired his MSc degree in Engineering and Management at the University of Miskolc in 2008. In 2008 he began doctoral studies, then worked as an assistant lecturer (2011-2015). He defended his PhD in 2015 and became an assistant professor (2015-2017). Dissertation title: Development and application of optical measurement techniques to determine the characteristics of a flow around a heated cylinder. He became an associate professor in 2017 and has been the Head of the Department since 2016. Director of the Institute since 2019. He was awarded the Hungarian Republican Scholarship (2007). He is a member of professional organisations and holds a scientific award. Field of expertise: fluid and heat engineering.
