He was born in 1971. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Miskolc in 1995 with a specialization in Chemical Machinery. Between 1995 and 1998, he was a doctoral student and later an assistant lecturer. In 2000, he defended his PhD dissertation titled Theoretical and Experimental Investigation of the Operation of a Spring-Loaded Safety Valve. In 2001, he earned his PhD degree with summa cum laude honors. From 2001, he worked as an assistant professor, became an associate professor in 2003, obtained his habilitated doctorate in 2021, and has been a full professor since 2022. Between 2007 and 2024, he served as the head of the department, and from 2013 to 2017, he was the director of the institute. Since 2017, he has been the dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics. He is a member and holds leadership positions in several professional organizations and is a recipient of various scientific and professional awards and scholarships. His fields of expertise include safety engineering, the design of protection against dust and gas explosions, and the design of pressure systems.
