He was born in 1952. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Heavy Industry in 1976, in General Machine Designer. From 1976 to 1978 he was a department engineer, and until 1985 he was a university lecturer. In 1985 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the Selection of cutting tools for internal toothed gears, summa cum laude. Since 1985 he has been assistant professor. In 1998 he defended his PhD thesis on the Investigation concerning the design of gear pairs, summa cum laude. From 1998 he is an associate professor, retired since 2015. Member of the Scientific Society of Mechanical Engineering. His work has been recognized by the University and the GTE several times. His specialization is the meshing theory and design issues of gears.
