Research

The main research areas of the Institute in the field of logistics are the followings: production logistics, logistics services, logistics networks, logistics informatics, logistics management, recycling logistics and quality management in logistics, maintenance logistics and the field of material handling machines and systems.

As it is a prerequisite for high quality education, therefore the Institute has been actively participating in the elaboration of industrial research projects for decades. Numerous national and international medium and large enterprises are among its clients currently as well.
The basic research is conducted mainly in the framework of the Hungarian Scientific Research Fund (OTKA), the Science and Technology Fund (TéT), moreover the Social Renewal Operative Program (TÁMOP). From the international projects, for example the OPTIAS, the MLOG, the INTERREG and the UMi-Twinn projects should be mentioned.
